Priorities of Early Childhood Providers in PA Report Released

In the fall of 2021, the Racial Equity Subcommittee, a subcommittee within the newly formed Early Childhood Provider Council, was created with the task of researching inequities within Pennsylvania’s early childhood system. As a result of this mission, the Racial Equity Subcommittee is submitting this report with the support of Children First.

This report will delve into three priority areas, highlighting the issues that demand urgent action. Moreover, we will provide recommendations to address the challenges in these priority areas, ensuring equitable access and opportunities for all children and families in early learning programs. By prioritizing these issues and taking tangible steps toward achieving racial equity, we can build a more inclusive and just education system that supports the success of every child.
