Since 1980, PCCY has taken a stand on behalf of our region’s children by using one hand to protect our children and using the other to apply pressure on lawmakers. As an independent, non-partisan organization we do not receive any government money. To continue our work to provide better lives and life chances for our region’s children, we depend on donations from foundations, corporations and individuals to meet our budget each year. Corporate Sponsorship of the annual Celebration of the Public Citizen for Children and Youth
PCCY’s annual celebration recognizes and individual and/or a company that has demonstrated their ability and dedication to helping to improve the lives and life chances of children and youth in our region. On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, we will honor Dan Hilferty, President and CEO of Independence Blue Cross for helping to improve the health and well-being of children in Pennsylvania. Tín dụng thuế cải thiện giáo dục
Khối thịnh vượng chung Pennsylvania cung cấp Tín dụng Thuế Cải thiện Giáo dục (EITC) cho các doanh nghiệp đóng góp cho các tổ chức cải tiến giáo dục đã được phê duyệt. PCCY được tiểu bang chấp thuận để nhận tiền EITC cho Dự án Picasso, một sáng kiến giáo dục nghệ thuật sáng tạo dành cho học sinh có nguy cơ gặp rủi ro trong các trường công lập Philadelphia đã bị cắt giảm các chương trình nghệ thuật và âm nhạc do cắt giảm ngân sách. Năm 2014, 3.500 học sinh theo học tại 14 trường công lập truyền thống và công lập tham gia vào các lĩnh vực nghệ thuật, âm nhạc, khiêu vũ và sân khấu thông qua Dự án Picasso. Với sự tài trợ của EITC, mục tiêu của PCCY là tăng ít nhất gấp đôi số trường học và học sinh của Dự án Picasso.
