Don’t Let Philly Students Face One More Cut!
The School District of Philadelphia must cut jobs next year unless they get more funding. Philadelphia students cannot do more with less – they deserve teachers, counselors, and climate staff. City Council can add at least $50.4 million to the School District’s budget to save hundreds of teachers and other school staff next year.
Mayor Parker’s proposed a $1 per ride fee on Uber and Lyft trips that would save 340 Philadelphia school district positions. These positions were funded with federal funds that are no longer available. Helpful materials are below on the Ride Share Tax bill 260208.
