Bucks and Montgomery counties are home to an estimated 2,691 children here illegally, and the kids are getting most of their medical treatment in local emergency rooms at a significantly higher cost.

That’s the prognosis of a new report released Wednesday by the Philadelphia nonprofit Public Citizens for Children and Youth.
