Wills Eye, Eagles, Team Up To Give Kids Sight – Fox29 – April 12, 2014

PHILADELPHIA – Uninsured and underinsured children will be able to get free eye screenings this weekend for the fifth-annual “Give Kids Sight Day!”

It’s all a part of a major partnership with Wills Eye Hospital, the Philadelphia Eagles and a few others.

The program lets uninsured and underinsured kids can get free eye screenings and glasses, if needed.

FOX 29’s Karen Hepp was in South Philadelphia on Thursday morning outside the hospital with the Eagles Eye Mobile.

Joining her were Dr. Alex Levin, of Wills Eye Hospital, along with Inaya Edwards, who received new glasses last year, and her mother, Isetayo Roundtree.

Saturday’s event is being held from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at Thomas Jefferson University. It’s free, and no insurance is needed.
