We will meet with our elected officials to make one final push to influence the funding formula. \nPlease fill out this form as it will help us to arrange transportation\, schedule visits with your legislators\, and keep you up to date on plans. DESCRIPTION:Join others across Pennsylvania and take 5-10 minutes on May 14th to call our state legislators to tell them that Harrisburg’s top priority this year must be enacting a new system that provides adequate and fair funding for public schools. \nOur legislators must take politics out of school funding and distribute state funding to school districts using a formula that is based on real factors and the real costs of delivering services. \nThe Call to Action for Public Education is a day where people throughout the state concerned about public education – individuals and supporters of various organizations\, including PTAs\, small business groups\, church groups\, community organizations – CALL their State Representative\, Senator and the Governor to let them know we want them to deliver results and support our schools. \nDon’t know who represents you – click here to find out.

Voters spoke in November when an incumbent governor—widely perceived to be responsible for drastic education cuts\, was unseated while his opponent ran on the promise to increase school funding. A funding commission has been established to research and develop recommendations for a new funding formula.   Now is our time to let our  elected officials know we take investment in education seriously. \nPlease join Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY) for our annual advocacy training to learn how you can win fair and increased funding for our students. \nBy participating\, you’ll be joining a statewide movement.
