50 YEARS OF SAVING CHILDREN

“My husband and I felt like we had hit rock bottom trying to get help for our children,” said Jeanieann Ferrari, a mother of four children, each of whom suffers from learning disabilities and behavioral issues.

Ferrari said “I am thankful to Medicaid because without it I probably would not have received or been able to afford some of the help my children need to succeed in life.”

Jeanieann’s words hit home on the importance of the Medicaid program at the 50th Anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid forum held in Philadelphia earlier this week. Ferrari, a stay at home mom and wife of a police officer turned to PCCY for help enrolling in Medicaid because they were overwhelmed with the high costs of specialized care their children need.
