Free Eye Care for Kids at Jefferson Alumni Hall, 1020 Locust Street on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 8:30am to 1:00pm

For children 17 years and under, from Philadelphia and surrounding counties, who have not had, or who have not passed, an eye screening and/or who are uninsured.  For more information email: gksd@childrenfirstpa.org o llame al 215-563-5848 x21.

TRAVEL ADVISORY: Public transportation is your best option to Sight Day because the Philadelphia Half Marathon is the same morning. Using the Market Frankford Line or SEPTA Regional Rail, exit at 11^th or 8^th Street; using PATCO, exit at 9^th/10^th Street and it’s just a few short blocks to Sight Day at 10th& Locust Streets. If you decide to drive, all 676 and I95 exits will be open (except the I95 southbound exit at Delaware Ave), and you can park north of Filbert Street. Between 6:45 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. no cars or buses will be allowed from Filbert Street to South Street and between 6^th and Broad Street, but pedestrians can walk anywhere in this area.

• If you are interested in helping with registration, language interpretation, ambassador, data entry and the like, haga clic aquí.  Please note, we also have pre-event day opportunities in this link.
• If you are an ophthalmologist, optometrist, optician, technician, or an employee of Wills Eye or any eye-care facility, please haga clic aquí.  Registration deadline: November 1, 2018.

Acerca del día Give Kids Sight:

PCCY and our partners have helped connect over 7,700 children obtain free eye care services since 2009! That two thirds of Philadelphia school children who fail a school vision screening do not get a follow-up exam was unacceptable to child advocates. Building on PCCY’s successful Give Kids a Smile Day model of free dental care for kids, PCCY and our partners designed “Give Kids Sight Day” a day of free eye checks and eye glasses for children who need them.

¿Su hijo necesita un seguro médico?  La línea de ayuda Child Health Watch de PCCY ayuda a las familias a encontrar un seguro médico para sus hijos. Ayudamos con las solicitudes de seguro médico público, ya sea Asistencia Médica (MA) o el Programa de Seguro Médico para Niños (CHIP) y para resolver problemas de inscripción. Este servicio es gratuito y está disponible en cualquier idioma.
